Voter Registration / Elections

In Texas, the County Tax Assessor-Collector, County Clerk, or an Election Administrator is the Voter Registrar for the County. The Voter Registrar shall conduct voter registration activities at all times during regular office hours.

As of April 2018, the Hunt County Voter Registrars' Office holds over 53,500 voter records.  On Average, this office handles about 500 new & change applications each month.  There are moves, deaths, duplicate, and felon records also worked.  In an even numbered year, there are typically 4 elections held.  In an odd numbered year, there are usually only 2 elections.  In December of odd numbered years, new voter certificates are mailed to every active voter.

We are always looking for people interested in helping on election day at the polls.  This is a paid position and a very important one!  If you would be interested, please drop by our office.
